Section 01
Using this site
What the site is for, and the ordinary conditions of using it.
The Site tells you about our services and lets you book them. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't:
- Copy, sell or republish the Site's content without our permission.
- Try to break into, disrupt or overload the Site, or use bots or scrapers on it.
- Use the Site for anything unlawful, or to send us anything harmful or misleading.
We may update, change or take down any part of the Site at any time. The Site may link to other websites, such as our booking platform or published research. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Affiliate links. Some links on the Site may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products we believe in.
Section 02
Nutrition services
What nutrition counseling covers, and how sessions are delivered.
We provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling from a registered dietitian nutritionist. Sessions take place in person at our Roanoke office or virtually through a secure video platform. What's included in each package is described on our Packages page at the time you book.
Virtual sessions and licensure. Christina is licensed in Virginia, California and Arizona. Virtual sessions are available to clients who are located in one of those states at the time of the session. Please let us know if you'll be somewhere else for a session.
About virtual sessions. Video sessions depend on your internet connection and device, and they have limits: Christina can't examine you in person, and a connection can drop or, rarely, be compromised. If a session is cut short by a technical problem on our side, we'll make up the time. You can always ask to meet in person instead. Before your first virtual session, you'll review and agree to a telehealth consent in the client portal.
Your first step. Every package starts with a free 15-minute intro call. You aren't committed to anything until you book and pay for a package.
Section 03
Not medical advice
Nutrition counseling supports your care; it does not replace diagnosis or treatment by your physician.
The Site is general information. Articles, recipes and other content on the Site are for general education. They aren't personal medical or nutrition advice, and reading them doesn't make you our client. Don't change your diet, medications or treatment based on the Site alone.
Counseling works alongside your medical care. As a registered dietitian, Christina doesn't diagnose diseases or prescribe medication. Keep seeing your physician. Talk to them before making changes that could affect a medical condition, especially if you have diabetes, kidney disease, a food allergy or an eating disorder, or are pregnant.
Results vary. Client stories on the Site reflect individual experiences. Your results will depend on your own health, history and circumstances. We can't guarantee any particular outcome.
In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Portal messages and email aren't monitored around the clock, so don't rely on them, or on the booking system, in an emergency. If you're in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) at any time. For support with an eating disorder, the ANAD Helpline is free at 1-888-375-7767.
Section 04
Booking, payment & refunds
How packages are paid for, and what happens if plans change.
Payment. Packages are paid up front when you book, through our secure booking platform. Prices are listed on our Packages page and may change, but any change won't affect a package you have already bought.
Insurance. We don't bill insurance directly. If you ask, we'll give you a superbill (an itemized receipt) to submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. Coverage is between you and your plan, and we can't guarantee you'll be reimbursed. Check with your insurer first.
Refunds. Packages are non-refundable once purchased.
Package expiry. Sessions in a package must be used within 12 months of purchase. Unused sessions expire after that.
Section 05
Cancellations & no-shows
The notice needed to move a session, and what applies without it.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. You can reschedule through the booking platform or by contacting us.
If you cancel late or miss a session without notice, a $50 fee applies. If you're more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule the session.
We understand emergencies happen and will use reasonable judgment. If we need to cancel, we'll reschedule at no cost to you.
Section 06
Client responsibilities
The information needed to keep your plan safe and workable.
To keep your plan safe and useful, please:
- Give accurate, complete information about your health, medications, allergies and history, and tell us when anything changes.
- Tell us about other providers involved in your care.
- Let us know if a recommendation doesn't feel right for you, or if you notice a reaction or problem.
- Keep your portal login private.
We base our recommendations on the information you give us, so we can't be responsible for problems that come from information that was incomplete or inaccurate.
Section 07
Intellectual property
Who owns the plans, resources, and materials shared with you.
The Site's content, including text, photos, logos, recipes and handouts, belongs to Clean Eating Nutrition or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
Meal plans, handouts and other materials we give you are for your personal use. You're welcome to share them with your family and your healthcare providers. Please don't sell, publish or distribute them more widely without our written permission.
Section 08
Liability & governing law
The limits that apply, and the jurisdiction these terms are read under.
The Site is provided "as is." We work to keep the Site accurate and available, but we don't promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted or free of harmful code. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties about the Site.
Limits on liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim about the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including liability for professional negligence where the law doesn't allow it.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Roanoke, Virginia.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. The Terms in effect when you bought a package apply to that package.
General. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
